The thing about Dan and Emma is that, even when they are in a scene that is technically about another ship (Harry/Ginny in this case), it really becomes all about Harry & Hermione. I hardly even noticed Bonnie. They could’ve been discussing anyone and it wouldn’t have mattered. This scene is all about Harry & Hermione and their relationship, while Ginny is just incidental to the storyline.
Hermione’s head dips down, the disappointment appears on her face.
You can see Hermione’s/Emma’s facial expression show hurt and disappointment a few times throughout the series when addressing Harry one-on-one. You can see she almost “self-corrects” herself when she realizes that she let her inner feelings slip out.
